ABOUT US

Adam and I met in July of 2004 and were married in the Bountiful temple in December of 2005. I am from AZ so we moved back here in June of 2007. We have 3 boys. Landen 10 (previous marriage), Krew 3 and Kade 7 months. Oh yeah and we have 1 little dog, who is a daddy's princess and thinks she well...knows she has him wrapped around her little finger. I am the CEO of this wonderful family and Adam is the Founder and President. I have a masters degree in changing poopy diapers, cooking, cleaning, laundry and blogging. I speak a foreign language (baby talk).
Actually, I have been a Dental office manager for about 16 years at different offices and just started a new small business called Dental AR Solutions. I love being a mom and am so grateful that my husband allows me to be home to see our boys grow up.

CONGRATS SEAN AND NELLE

So my in-laws had their baby boy on January 31,2008. They named him Ryker Sean Olson. Yeah, I am so happy for them, he is so sweet. I would post a picture but they haven't done that yet, so I will let them do it first. I won the bet too. I bet that he would come on thursday and he did!! Now lets hope mine comes when i predict him to. I can't wait to come up and see them and hold little Ryker. I am also so excited now to have little Preston join us in 4 months. Hopefully just because he will be the youngest of all his little boy cousins, he won't be picked on. But, I am excited to see all these little tykes play together. It's kind of cool because all the Olson brothers had boys for their first borns and all of their middle names are their daddys names. So, Corbin Ryan, Quinn Aaron, Ryker Sean and soon to come Preston Adam. So sweet.
UPDATE ON LITTLE PRESTON
We went to have the ultra sound done on Thursday, all went well. So, on Saturday Adam left to go to the counting crows concert and I had been really sad and stressed all day, so come saturday night i started leaking fluid and I thought I peed, but it kept coming, so I called my Dr. and she told me to go to the ER, so I text Adam to tell him I have to go to the hospital.....no response. So, I found a ride there. Landen stayed with his friend down the street until I got back because I couldn't get a hold of my husband. So, I went and I thought oh great I am going to be here for like 5 hours because the ER was full. Oh, but I didn't they took me right back (I think because I am this far along, something must be serious). So, after a bunch of tests, the Dr. confirmed that I am leaking amniotic fluid and put me on strict bed rest. Well, that phrase does not exist in my vocab because currently, I am the only one working, so he explained I had to stay in bed until Monday morning and at work I couldn't be up and around all day, and I had to drink lots of water. They gave me a shot of tributaline for my contractions YES THAT'S RIGHT, I WAS IN PRETERM LABOR. It was the worst shot, it freaking stung so so so bad, I wanted to cry. So, hopefully the leaking won't come back and baby will be fine. I just need to take it extra easy, which means hopefully I can get a break from doing housework. HOPEFULLY!! We will see if Adam can handle housework. I mean he should be able to right, it's not like it takes 7 hours to do housework and if your home anyways...... I'm rambling!!

Gordon B. Hinckley dies at 97

So, I went to bed last night at 9 p.m. and for everyone that
knows me, knows that it's hard for me to fall asleep. So, as
I am finally asleep, my husband comes in and quietly wakes
me and I thought ok something serious has happened cause
he knows never to wake me. He told me Pres. Hinckley died
and it was on the CNN news channel. I just layed there with
nothing to say. I got up and went down stairs to see. I was
so sad to hear the news because he is one amazing man.
I know he is in a happier place, being with his wife that he
loves so much. My uncle use to be his interpeter when he
was on his mission and Pres. Hinckley was in the seventy.
I loved hearing about those stories. I will miss hearing
him speak at general conference. I went to 1 general
conference in my whole life and I swear the talk he gave,
was what I needed to hear. He will be missed.

HEATH LEDGER HAS PASSED AWAY

Yeah that's right, he passed away today and was found dead in his manhattan apartment at 3:26 pm. Police say it may have been related to drugs but are unsure. I am especially sad because I think he is a great actor, plus he is the star actor in my most favorite movie, the patriot. His poor little girl.....

Grandmother's Hands

Ok I got this from Gwen's blog. I cried. It's so sweet

GRANDMA'S HANDS
Grandma, some ninety plus years, sat feebly on the patio bench. She didn't move, just sat with her head down staring at her hands. When I sat down beside her she didn't acknowledge my presence and the longer I sat I wondered if she was OK.
Finally, not really wanting to disturb her but wanting to check on herat the same time, I asked her if she was OK. She raised her head and looked at me and smiled. "Yes, I'm fine, thank you for asking," she said in a clear voice strong."I didn't mean to disturb you, grandma, but you were just sitting here staring at your hands and I wanted to make sure you were OK," I explained to her."Have you ever looked at your hands," she asked. "I mean reallylooked at your hands?"I slowly opened my hands and stared down at them. I turned them over, palms up and then palms down. No, I guess I had never really looked atmy hands as I tried to figure out the point she was making.
Grandma smiled and related this story: "Stop and think for a moment about the hands you have, how they have served you well through out your years. These hands, though wrinkled shriveled and weak have been the tools I have used all my life to reach out and grab and embrace life. "They braced and caught my fall when as a toddler I crashed upon the floor. They put food in my mouth and clothes on my back. As a child, my mother taught me to fold them in prayer. They tied my shoes and pulled on my boots. They held my husband and wiped my tears when he went off to war.
"They have been dirty, scraped and raw, swollen and bent. They were uneasy and clumsy when I tried to hold my newborn son. Decoratedwith my wedding band they showed the world that I was married and loved someonespecial. They wrote my letters to him and trembled and shook when I buried my parents and spouse. "They have held my children and grandchildren, consoled neighbors, and shook in fists of anger when I didn't understand. They have covered my face, combed my hair, and washed and cleansed the rest of my body. They have been sticky and wet, bent and broken, dried and raw. And to this day when not much of anything else of me works real well these hands hold me up, lay me down, and again continue to fold in prayer.
"These hands are the mark of where I've been and the ruggedness of life. But more importantly it will be these hands that God will reach out and take when he leads me home. And with my hands He will lift me to His side and there I will use these hands to touch the face ofChrist.
"I will never look at my hands the same again. But I remember God reached out and took my grandma's hands and led her home. When my hands are hurt or sore or when I stroke the face of my children and husband I think of grandma. I know she has been stroked and caressed and held by the hands of God.

MY LONG CRAFTY WEEKEND!!!

So, I have been dying to make myself a baby budget
book, so I can keep track of things I need and set up
a budget to know where my limits are. This is my 2nd
child and my 1st is 7, so I am pretty much starting over
again. The only thing I have so far that was pretty pricey
is a Jeep 3 wheel stroller, and a good friend has a brand
new one that her grandchildren never used. I was so
excited when she said I could have it. So now I have to
buy a crib, dresser, changing table, swing, high chair, and all
the other fun stuff. I have to thank my friend Gwen for this
idea. She made a fitness diary so I took her idea and made this.
This is the front of the book, I modge podged paper to the
front and added a green layer. Then but cute buttons on
the side to give it some pizzaz!! By the way the P is for his name
which after a long talk we FINALLY both decided on a name
that I am so excited about because Landen kind of picked it
out and we both fell in love with it!! So, his name is going to be
PRESTON ADAM OLSON!! (we still haven't decided on spelling
but so far I like this. I have never liked to follow trends and have
the same spelling as everyone else, which is why my 1st born is
Landen with an "E" instead of Landon with an "O" which everyone
thinks that's how he spells it)!!

This is the front inside, which I had to make a pocket
because I know I will see things in a magazine, that I will
forget about later or misplace it. I just taped the sides and
bottom and put a cute border on the top and a sticker in the
middle!!

It was easy, took me 20 minutes. Unfortunately,
I have to end my crafty weekend, because my house
is in need of some attention. I had a blast, but didn't get
done what I wanted too. I have next weekend though to
finish up!!!!!

OK!! Here is a valentines card!! Yeah I know again
very simple and easy!! Once I start at something,
the ideas will start coming. I am going to actually
start making Landen sweetheart holders with cute
ribbon ties, so thats my day tomorrow. Let's see if
I get sick of it or not!!

This was easy!! It probably looks a tad bit
preschool ish, but I have never made cards before so, I am
glad I am even trying!!

Ok, so I was so excited to come home and start my
weekend of card making, and other projects, so I started
with this!! I have to tell everyone though, I left all the
stamps a friend from work gave me in my tahoe so this
was basically just the tools I had so obviously it's plain!!

Also, I only had scissors and tomorrow I am going
to buy a paper cutter because I am not so proud of
this!! So, this is a cute pocket with a card I got from
stampin when I can. It was really easy but I couldn't
get it perfect. It's a little crooked!! Besides the fact
that I could not get my damn camera to take a great
picture!! Well, this is all for now but will have more to
come soon!! I don't have a clue what card this will be
meant for so please if you have any ideas, let me know!
I am new to this whole crafty thing. I am a scrapbooking
kind of a girl!!! But, my friend Gwen from work is so
amazing with cards she made me want to take a stab
at it!!

Christmas Fleece Blanket

Ok so here was another crafty gift I made for a sister in law!! I loved it, I don't know if she did, but it was really easy. Adam even helped!! It was so soft and warm. As a matter of fact I am making myself and Adam one as well!! They are so fun to make and you can even put it with a theme. Her theme was a moment in time. Earlier, I posted a cute bag and tin with a paper holder that matches this blanket!!

IT'S A BOY

Ok so on Christmas Eve, we decided to go to Fetal Studio to see if they would be able to find out the sex yet!! So, we go in there with an open mind and she starts taking pictures of all of the important stuff. Then it comes time for that part!!! So, the baby won't stop moving around so it's like impossible for her to get a steady shot but at the very end (which is the 1st picture) she catches it and sure enough it is a boy, so very soon I will post more boys names to take a vote!! Drayson is out, so that is no longer on our list :( !!!! HAPPY NEW YEARS!

WORLD'S GREATEST FRIEND!!

So, I went to lunch today with one of my good friends Aimee!! She was one of my 1st friends when I moved to Utah 31/2 Years ago. I actually have not seen her for a while and I had the best time!! We have some of the best memories!! Like staying long weekends in fool creek, going to bonfires, the dunes (where we tried to find Adam in a crowd of 30,000 people) screaming at the top of our lungs "ADAM, ADAM OLSON ARE YOU HERE!!" Yeah I don't recomend doing that!! She tried teaching me how to ride a horse and that was hopeless, I couldn't get the damn thing to move and I was kicking it's sides so hard. She also taught me how to ride a 4 wheeler but failed to mention that I probably shouldn't try to drive over large ditches or I may flip over the top of the handle bars!! But, man I have also seen some of natures prettiest places with this girl, pretty much in her back yard!! I am so glad we are friends. She has been one of the greatest friends on this earth!! She is one of those friends that is patient, forgiving, understanding and no matter what she always has my back!! She would do anything for anyone, so even though we haven't seen each other much this year!! I would say she gets FRIEND OF THE YEAR!! But will probably be FRIEND OF A LIFETIME!! We have so much catching up to do!!! Love you Aimee!!

My Christmas Projects

Ok so this was an easy project. I had a lot of fun making them. It made me realize how much I miss this kind of stuff. It's a note pad holder and
a gift card holder with matching bags. It of course took me a while because I have not done it for a while but I did it. I found it off another website. It was easy to follow directions. Thanks Gwen for the help!!! Merry Christmas to everyone!!! I will be back in a couple of weeks.

THE SEX OF OUR BABY IS..........

Ok so I had another trip to the ER yesterday. Gosh, I hate hospitals. I was there for 5 hours just to find out I have a UTI. Whatever next time I am just going to lay down for an hour!! Anyhow, so they do the ultrasound and the weirdest thing was when she was doing the ultrasound, my back where my kidneys are, started hurting so bad I thought I was going to die, well the tech said she saw on the ultrasound that I was having a contraction. CRAZY!! Well, so I asked her what the earliest is that someone could see what the sex of the baby was. Me, being 15 weeks along, she said to be DEFINATE, it's right around 17 weeks but because I was only a couple weeks short, she would see if she could tell yet, but said over and over again SHE CAN'T GUARANTEE ANYTHING!! Great, so here we go, she gets down to it's legs and they are wide open and she says she sees a buldge, so it's possible it is going to be a boy, but that it could be the cord in the way. She also said she would be surprised if they told me it was going to be a girl. So, I was soooooooo sad, I know, I know its so selfish of me right. I should just wish for a healthy baby like normal people do. Well, we find out in 2 weeks so if they confirm it's a boy, of course I will be happy, if its a girl I will be overly happy!!!! We are now back to square one with boys names so you need to vote on the cutest boys name!!! I actually had this weird dream a few weeks ago that I had a boy and named him Drayson, but Adam doesn't like it, and then we came up with Parker, but really I am so lost!!! I just don't know anymore!! Maybe it will just be baby olson forever!!!!!!

Girls names

Ok so as you can see we have to start this whole poll thing over with. Long story but lets just say this couple in our old ward took the name Presley. We let them borrow our baby name book and I guess the name Presilee highlighted was intriguing to them!! So now it's between Kenidee and Paityn. Tell us what you think!!

THINGS TO BE THANKFUL FOR.....

OK so I know I offically suck at blogging. I haven't been very good at keeping up with all my friends at posting once a week. I have been so busy. So we went back to Utah for thanksgiving and I really do have to admit, it was very nice. For once, I actually enjoyed being there. So, we didn't end up leaving until 7pm on Wednesday night and Landen slept the entire way. As soon as Adam got to about Penguich, he had to pull off the road and take a nap. So, we finally get to his moms house at about 7am and by this time Landen is so excited to see Brycen, he is awake the rest of the day. So, Adam and I lay down to fall asleep and realize it's impossible. So, we get up and get ready for the day. By about 1 or so, everyone starts showing up. I was so excited to see Adam's Aunt Cindy and Uncle Jerry, they are some of my most favorite people in the family. Since the first time I met Jerry, he has always accepted me with open arms. He just has a way of explaining things to me that really make sense. I respect him so so much. It was so nice to see everyone. Janelle (my sister in law) is going to be having a baby at the end of January, so I was so excited to see her because she always says she is so pregnant and is so big and blah blah blah. So, I see her and oh my gosh, she seriously won cutest pregnant girl, she has the tiniest little pooch. I loved it. So, pretty much the whole weekend I spent shopping and hanging out with Sean and Janelle which made my trip even better, because we didn't get to spend much time with them before we moved here and Adam is really close with Sean, so it meant so much to us to feel like they went out of their way to kind of wipe their schedules to spend time with us. We woke up at the butt crack of dawn and went shopping on Friday and we dragged Claudia with us. It was actually a lot of fun. Janelle took me to some maternity places and I got some really cute things. I must say though, since I have been back home, I think I lost like 10 pounds from all the stairs in my house. It's not a joke, I weighed myself before I went to Utah and then just barely yesterday and Ireally did loose 10 pounds so now I don't look as pregnant as I felt in Utah. I swear I looked like I was the one due in January(or at least that's how I felt). Landen had a blast except it didn't snow and he was really sad about that. We didnt get to see everyone we wanted to but we will be back for 2 weeks for xmas. So, I have really thought alot about what I am most thankful for and my top 5 are as follows: 1. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, 2. My husband and eternal companion. 3. My son, and the rest to come. 4. My other family members. 5. All of my friends. His uncle Jerry told us in Utah that the best thing we could have done for our marriage was move away and after thinking about the last 2 years of our marriage, I really do believe that. Nothing against anyone personally, but being around Adam's family all the time really took a toll on our marriage. Sometimes it still does because it's that feeling of STILL constantly having to prove yourself to people, but I learned shortly after we got married, that really I don't have to prove anything to anyone. My husband and I have had ups and downs, but what marriage hasn't. We strive to do our best everyday. He is one person in my life that grounds me to the point that even after 2 years, I still love being with him every second. He teaches me things everyday. I have come along way since we first got married. To him serving other people is like what he lives and breaths for and for me, I was just like ok whatever. But now I see why he is like that. It is the best feeling in the world to serve someone. So, this picture really sums all of it up for me. I have also learned this year, that it doesn't matter what people say about you or behind your back, family or not, they are the ones that have to live with it, not me. I have hurt some pretty important people by choice of words recently and I realized that even if they have hurt you, it's not worth putting someone through that just to PROVE A POINT. I really hope for next year everyone in the family, can put grudges in the past and just LEAVE THEM THERE! Relationships are the only thing we take with us when we die and if we burn too many bridges here, life won't ever get easier. People just need to move on and gossip needs to be burried. I think if people hear the he said she said, instead of fueling the fire and spitting back, they need to go straight to the source. It's funny when something is said, and it gets turned into something it never really was in the first place.

THANKSGIVING PLANS

For those of us who don't tan anymore!!!! HAHA :(

So, there has been a ton of debate whether we are going back to Utah for Thanksgiving, but since we have hit our busy season, we have decided to spend thanksgiving here and spend Christmas in Utah (well Adam will be in Utah for Christmas, still have not decided if I am going). This will be my first turkey that I am making and boy will we have left overs, a 12 lb turkey for 3!! Especially having a husband and 7 yr old that are the worlds pickiest eaters!!! Pretty sure we will have about 11 1/2 lbs left over. I am trying to talk my husband in to going up north like payson or something for the remainder of the weekend. We will see how it goes. Pics of thanksgiving and our big freaking turkey will be posted shortly.
