ME AND KREW ARE FEELING ICKY!!

So, it hasn't been the best few days for both me and my little man. We got up on sunday and got ready for church to realize that Krew wasn't breathing right. He had been stuffy for the last few days as well so we decided to take him to urgent care. While we were there the front office girl heard him coughing and got an MA out right away, they put something in front of his mouth and said bring him back right away. We finally got her to tell us that he was only getting about 90% oxygen and that is harmful to babies. So, Dr came in and diagnosed him with bronchiolitis. Yes it is a term and no it's not bronchitis. Anyways, she gave us a breathing machine to stick him on and he has been doing swell with it. We took him back today to his reg. Dr and she was a bit surprised that the dr never looked in his ears. TO our surprise!!! DOUBLE WHAMY, DOUBLE EAR INFECTIONS. She said that's the reason he is so clogged up, no bronchiolitis. What the crap!! He also had 2 shots as well. Poor thing. But his stats are over bearing. He is starting to sit alone, thanks to good old bumbo, his favorite thing in the world is elmo. Loves loves elmo. Its so funny to watch him stare at his talking elmo. 18 lbs 3 oz. and 28 in long. FOLKS WE HAVE A BASKETBALL PLAYER IN THE MAKING!! He is going to be a tall one. He hasn't even hit 7 months old yet and he can't even fit into 6-9 mo clothes, he is now in 9-12 mo and in some, 12-18 mo. Oh hek. What do I do now. I think I have about 10 brand spanking new outfits that still have tags on them.

Me... on the other hand woke up Monday with a tiny bit of a sore throat. Went to work and about 3 pm it hit me like a ton of bricks, I was getting very very sick. Ususally it's always around Christmas (which is another reason to add to my list of why I hate it so much, see I have already validated my dislike) but I hate the feeling that you can't get up to do anything. So, I went to bed at 6 and didn't wake up till 9:30 am. Went to the Dr. STREP THROAT!! Yikes. Of course babies rarely catch it so I was happy to be able to still hold and love him, but it sucks cause I was out of commission for that day and today. I have never been so excited to go to work, I have been bored out of my misery. But, too exhausted to get anything else accomplished. So, my wonderful husband, has made me dinner and has helped clean house and get suitcases ready for Utah!! I CAN'T WAIT. T- 17 DAYS OF PARTY TIME.

I LOVE MY LITTLE BROCOLLI

I don't even know if that is spelled correctly. Anyways, I have been so behind on my posting. Sorry, but when you have a life full of 2 kids, a husband, dr's appointments and a full time job, you kind of have no time for yourself really at all. So here is the low down for the past couple weeks. I have been so busy with Dr's appointments that I completely forgot that halloween is on October 31st. So Landen really wanted to be Link this year. Most of you probably have no clue who this is, but it's the "GUY" from Zelda. I made the mistake of saying, "Oh ok you want to be Zelda" and was corrected by him saying, "NO ZELDA IS A GIRL, SHE IS THE TWILIGHT PRINCESS TO BE EXACT, LINK IS THE BOY." Ok sorry!! Anyhow, no stores sold this costume, so I thought well before I found out about the medical issues with myself, that I would just make it. Then I figure we would be taking Krew so I had to find him one too. Well, there was only 2 days until Halloween and I had a dr's appointment on Wednesday the 29th to get my results (that's a whole other post and I still may need a few days to talk about it). Anyhow, I did what I could and found Krew a costume at Ross (love that place) the only one left was BROCOLLI. I didn't care at this point as long as I had pictures of him in it.


Landen's turned out great. I just bought a cheap green shirt from target, cut the sleeves off and tada, out came a tunic. I got a turtle neck and sweat pants......anyhow, he loved it so that's all that matters. I didn't have time to get gloves or a hat, but he didn't seem to mind. So, Friday comes and I went to the chiropractor Friday morning for a massage and to get adjusted from a car accident I was in on Wed. on my way to the Dr's appointment to find out my results, but again another post for another time. Anyways, Landen's school called he was sick, so I had to cancel my massage, go get him, take him to the dr. to find out it was a mild cold. Went to target, bought him medicine and came home. We both took a nap for 4 hours, along with Krew so by the time we woke up, it was 5pm and trick or treating starts here around 530ish. Holy cow, I was freaking, I tore my house to pieces to try to find my charger for my camera battery and couldn't find it anywhere. All in all, I just took some with my phone and the boys had a great time. Here are some pictures of Halloween.





So, I just love my little guy. I am so excited everyday to come home, feed him, play with him and put him down for bedtime. So, one day I decided to surprise him with a gift. I got him this cute vtech laptop for babies. Oh my gosh it was the funnest thing to watch him enjoy. Take a look for yourself. He has managed to roll over now so that is exciting. We bought him a highchair and he now eats cereal before bedtime, and he eats one vegtable or fruit a day. So far he hates carrotts, bananas, peaches and pears. I am still learning with him though so I will continue feeding him those until he is old enough to pass them up. He gets in the mode of moving his face to the side when he knows its coming. He will taste it first and if he knows its one of those, he puckers his lips and hides his face to the side so I can't get a spoonful in. He will take applesauce, rice cereal, green beans, peas and sweet potatoes anyday though. His checkup is soon so I will leave an update with his numbers. He is growing so fast. I swear everyone thinks he is like a year old. He is super tall. Here are some fun videos of his first expression of his new laptop.

The end was hard for me to contain myself because he would only laugh if I was really loud and obnoxious. I love it!!

Thank heavens for Rainforest jumper!

Ok well we finally set up this rainforest jumper we got from my baby shower. So, I must say, he absolutely loves it. He normally can't last playing with any specific toy for longer than 15 minutes, however, he can play in this thing forever. Today I got most of my entire house cleaned (2800 sq ft.) and ALL of my laundry washed and folded before I had to lay him down for nap time. Other than that he seems to be doing ok. Although, around bedtime when we give him his bath, he starts screaming and whaling as if he is hurt and it doesn't happen until he has been in the tub for about 5-10 min. Any ideas? Adam claims he starts crying when he runs soap all over his body and thinks he may have a boo-boo that we don't know about that stings when soap gets in there. When I heard it yesterday (2 days in a row he has done this) I went upstairs, put his clothes on and he was fine, I thought he has just been that way because he is so so sleepy and we try to keep him awake until about 8, but these days we can't make it past 7 with him. He is fine during the day, it's just at bedtime.

KREW... POST SHOTS!!

So after he had his shots, we brought him home and he went down for a nap from 11:30 until about 3:30pm woke up so sad and cranky, we fed him, gave him tylenol and a bath and back down he went at 5:30pm. Slept until about 4:45am and was wide awake and ready to play. I was so happy to see he was kind of back to normal again. I just felt so bad for him from the mouth sores to having to get shots. Poor guy. However, the last couple days he has been super super awnry around nap and bed time. IS THIS NORMAL. He will play for about an hour, then he starts fussing and will cry and cry until he falls asleep. I don't know if he is being spoiled or if he is still hurting a tiny bit, but last night was the worst. He cried for about 2 hours until he finally fell asleep. Here are some recent pictures of him. The 1st is a mixture of pics, just random ones and we caught him with his thumb, he has discovered his thumb so now he refuses to take a pacifier. the other 4 in the first picture at the bottom are from 5 am when he was finally happy and the 2nd is our first day in our new ward at church. We only made it through sunday school. He was not a happy guy. Our church is from 2-5 so, it cuts into his napping. He is growing up so fast. I can't believe this Friday will be 3 months!!!

MY POOR LITTLE MAN!!

Ok Wednesday night my mom watched Krew for us and she called to tell us she thought he either had an ear ache or is teething. Adam and I got him home and all he did was cry until about 10, then he finally fell asleep. Thursday came and after taking Aimee to the airport, he was crying uncontrollably and I finally called my Dr. She recommended for us to take him to the after hours facility at Superstition mall. So, we get there and when the Dr. comes in we kind of tell her what has been going on and that he is drooling alot but no fever and we think he is teething. She does her exam and when she starts looking around in his mouth she finds 2 huge sores on his upper gums. She said it was a viral infection and they are kind of like cankers. We could not even believe it. I of course was freaking out because I couldn't figure out how he would get them so we asked. She said it could be from other kids putting their fingers in his mouth or sucking on his pacifiers and then giving them to him without washing them. Oh my gosh I freaked because we caught my brothers youngest daughter doing that and of course we stopped her right away and washed it, but didn't think to sterilize the rest of them, so basically that's the jest of it. So, when landen was born, I basically created this bubble and would not let a single person touch him without washing their hands. I wouldnt even let Charley's youngest sister hold him until he was like 6 months old. Then Adam made me feel guilty by saying that's mean and we can't do that with Krew. AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS, no more listening to that. I am going into bubble mode again. Our date nights are now on hold and no one is going to be allowed to even touch him without sanitizing their hands first.

Well, we took him for his regular Dr. visit today and she confirmed it's a viral infection and agreed with me about the whole living in a bubble thing. She says she sees nothing wrong with keeping your child sheltered and in his own little bubble till he is older. So, at his check, he weighs 12 lbs, 8 oz, is 24 inches long. He is in the 75th percentile, so he is healthy.

So so so sad, he got 4 shots!! Not good at all he cried and cried and cried and all I could do was hold him. I felt so bad. Even when he woke up from his nap he was miserable!! I hate shots. He slept the whole way home and for an additional 3 hours but he is just miserable. Here are some pics of him on the way home from the Doctor.

10 WEEKS OLD

Krew loves Oakley!! We kind of picked out which doggie we want, however, we are still kind of up in the air because we really want to see their personalities in about 4 weeks!! So far we are going off which one is the quietest and cuddliest!!

Mr. Smiley!! He is growing so fast!! He has been smiling for about 3 1/2 weeks when we were in Utah. He recognizes me daddy and Landen too!! Landen was making him smile in these pictures. He even does this cute little laugh but of course it's not consistent!! He still sleeps through the night and has since he was about 3 weeks old!! He is just perfect. He hates his pacifier, I guess that is a good thing for the future but bad for now because when we try to give it to him when he get tired, he throws his head back whales and sticks his tounge out and won't put it back in his mouth until we stop trying to give it to him. I love playing with him it's so much fun!!

I will keep posting these as Krew gets older and older!! He is seriously looking more like Adam every single day. He has his manorisms too!! SCARY!! Hopefully he doesn't love the same things as Adam, like Basketball and collecting $300.00 pairs of shoes!! I will be in for it if that's the case!!

KREW IS SPORTIN' MJ

So, he did it!! YEAH he finally fits into his MJ outfit!! Well, it's just a onsie and a beanie but we got to surprise daddy. Also, the cute little turtle with the Harley Davidson shirt on, Adam made that for Krew when he was on his business trip in Wisconsin. I got one too, but mine is a bear!! So cute!! He is getting so chubby and he is able to fit into some of his clothes better yeah. We are moving this weekend so I may not post for a while!! I gotta get settled in first or I will stress out about my house not being put together!!

DOCTORS and SHOTS

Ok so normally I would never post this, but it's been bugging me and I need all the feedback I can get. Plus I haven't blogged for a week and Krew is sleeping so it gives me an excuse to blog about something. I have been really nervous with getting Krew his 1st set of shots coming up real soon. With all the jibber jabber about it being linked to Autism I am nervous about it and kind of feel like 2 months is a bit too young to get all those shots. I would feel more comfortable if he was say 6-8 months but on the flip side, it's like well if you don't what if he gets really really sick. I am stuck does anyone know anything about this. I have talked to Janelle about it, but still have those thoughts all the time. What should I do I just don't know!! I guess I should add that I have talked to my Dr about this and she was super defensive, she said that if that's what I choose to do then they would make me sign a waiver!! I think we are going to find a new Dr.

KREW IS HAPPY TO BE HOME

So, the last few days in Utah Krew was super fussy and I thought it would never go away, however the second we walk in the door from the airport he was all smiles. He went right down for bed at 8 and slept till 5 then back down until 9. I had some friends over till midnight and thought I would be so so tired but I got my eight hours of sleep. Oh and I found this picture of Adam as a baby baby and it's totally Krew to the TTTTTT!!!

MORE VISITS FROM THE GRANDPARENTS

We went up to visit Ken and Nona and this is the first time Krew met them. He was definately in love with them. We ate dinner and played with Krew for a while. We had a blast as we always do. We got spoiled and sent home with weeks worth of food. YUMMY!! I can't wait to go back again. We love you guys!!!

More Pictures of Krew

I love taking pictures of him. He is starting to smile now. He is still the perfect baby. He is now in the habit of falling asleep in his crib. He still sleeps with us at night, but I think within the next few weeks we will start putting him in his crib at night. He has been sleeping through the night for a while now but last night was the first official 8 hours of sleep I got consistently. Everyone that sees him for the first time says he looks like Adam. I kind of think he resembles both of us, yeah more Adam than me but, it was so funny because I was watching our wedding video and his newborn picture is exactly Krew to the T except for the red/orange hair. Oh yeah, and heis losing his hair and it's getting lighter. I am sure he will grow it back blonde, his eye lashes are almost white. I can't wait to have another little one!! JUST KIDDING!! I want to enjoy this one for a while, but it won't be too long before we have another. I finally fit into my favorite pair of jeans. Size 28 woo hoo. I can't tell you how happy I am about that. However, I still have a ways to go. Next week is my 6 week check up and clearance for working out. Then, I will be starting the P90X. Can't wait.

Krew's first experience in his swing!

So, we wanted to test it out to see if he liked it and I must say, he loves it!! He ended up falling asleep in it. It is definately a life saver because Krew has gotten so spoiled with both Grandma's here, he is held every second and we are now trying to break him of that.

Also, Staci you seriously have been the biggest help ever. I am so glad I have you in my life. You mean so much to me and have helped us so much, with cooking dinner and playing taxi driver!! LOL. Tricia, we love the cute outfit, it was great to see you and Claudia thanks for all the help when you were here. We appreciate everything you have done for us!!

So, I managed to catch this one on video. Adam was holding Krew and he was wide awake making the cutest little kissy faces. It's rare because he is usually sleeping all day long and likes to try to stay awake at night!! Enjoy!!

KREW'S 2ND DR'S APPT

Krew had his 2nd appointment today and I am happy to say he gained back the weight he lost in the hospital. He now weighs 7 pounds and is 21.5 inches long. His jaundice is completely long and the poor guy had to get his heel pricked. Here are some updated photos of him although most of them don't even really look like him. The ones at the bottom are more of what he looks like in person. He loves making these kissing lips so I guess I just better watch out for the girlies when he gets older!! I am down a total of 25 pounds. It's amazing how much weight is actually water weight when you have a baby. Now I don't feel so puffy. Anyhow, we are doing well. I am getting a little down lately though because I am cooped up inside all day long and it's just too hot to take a walk outside. I have been cleaning the house like crazy, going through a billion bags of clothes to get rid of ones I have not worn for like 2 years and all my shoes too. I am running out of things to do to keep my mind busy and occupied. Adam starts his new job on Monday and I know it will be way worse when he is gone. I don't want to fall in that post pardom depression state, so any suggestions will help. Adam is spending time with Krew tomorrow night because I will be going to bunko. Woo-hoo, he is so great!!
